SUCCESS STORY

Customer: The Vietnamese branch of one of the largest banking and financial services organizations in the world. 

Challenge points:

– The bank received several hundred queries (event 500 requests at peak time) for loan origination per day.

– For each of the above requirements, bank staff had to receive, process and input data manually. Information also needed to be fragmented across five different systems.

Solution: akaBot was selected to automate loan origination. It used FPT.AI Reader to recognize and extract information automatically in pdf or image file formats. Next, the system converted raw data into structured data and updated to the loan originator system and credit information centre. In the following phase, bots created by akaBot would forward the queries to the individual responsible for the next approval.

Project outcomes:

– Deployed for 6 weeks, resulting in a 90% reduction in FTE (full-time equivalent) value.

– Reducing by 70% in human resources costs. 13 staff members were relieved from doing manual loan processing as akaBot smoothly automated the end-to-end process.

– Reducing by 70% of operating time for business processes. Time of the loan origination process (before final approvals) is reduced from 15 minutes to 5 minutes.
